Philanthropy

Alpha Sigma Alpha recognizes two national philanthropies: The Special Olympics and S. June Smith Center.

The Special Olympics remains important to members long after they graduate. Each year, the Special Olympics touches lives in hundreds of communities across the nation and around the world. Beta Beta Chapter volunteers at area Special Olympics events and raise money to donate to the organization.

The S. June Smith Center is a private non-profit agency providing early identification, education, training and therapy to infants and children in Lancaster County, PA with developmental disabilities and delays. Dr. S. June Smith, founder of the center, was a lifelong Kappa Kappa chapter member.  Beta Beta holds fundraisers to support this important philanthropy.

Each fall, Beta Beta Chapter holds "Wing Fling" - an event to raise money for our philanthropies.
